Thirteen years ago, I was a lost immigrant figuring out college. Today, I’m teaching at one—an R1 institution at that. My first week as an adjunct professor was filled with nerves, gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of God’s faithfulness. Here’s my reflection on stepping into this new season.

The day God anoints you is not always the day He appoints you. Like David, we must tend to the sheep, serve faithfully, and allow God’s timing to prepare us for the role He’s called us to. This is a reminder that your gift will make room for you when the time is right.

Last year, I took a wild leap of faith—resigning from my job without a written offer. It was scary, but I knew God was calling me to trust Him completely. In 2019, I developed allergies that became part of my daily life. I adapted, medicated, and managed—but I never really prayed about it. When healing finally came, I questioned it instead of rejoicing. It wasn’t until much later that I realized: I had overlooked a miracle. In October 2021, I took a leap of faith and moved from Miami to Las Vegas to help launch GENESIS at Roseman University. I left behind everything familiar to build something bigger than myself—connecting communities, leading events, and forging partnerships. It was a risk that changed my life and shaped my career. I’ll always be proud of the impact we made and grateful for the chance to be part of history.

Moving taught me to ask for help, embrace imperfection, and get back to what matters. Here's to 2025 and the return of my journals.
