Let's take a look into my journal!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
It took me a while to realize that I should pray and let God guide my steps. Shocking! Right? Somethings in life you know what the right thing to do is, but some time you have to learn the hard way or just have no other alternative to go the right way.
Recently, I was planning on taking a few decisions which would be "morally correct", but that would hurt people whom I love. You might say if it's morally correct, why not do it? That is the same way I thought about it.
The Bible is ALIVE! So ALIVE!
I presented my crazy "morally correct" idea to my small group (Bible study friends). Everyone had a different opinion about it. Some said I would go ahead, some said wait and see what happened. But, at the end they all said, we have to pray about it, and let God take the lead. They all prayed collectively for me, and I can be certain that they continued to keep me in their prayers during the week.
Guess what? God did take the lead and made everything fall into place for me. I did not force anything, all I did was pray. Now, I don't have to take this decision because the situation was resolved by itself or shall I say God took care of it.
Daenne's journal Fam, I share this with you to encourage you to pray before you take any decision. Prayer works! Prayer changes things! Sometimes God answer quicker than other times. But, one thing you should always remember is that God always answer on time. It is so crucial to wait on the Lord and be patient and not rush for things at our timing. If only we could have a glimpse of His watch we would just happily wait.
I also want to encourage you to stay in community. Surround yourself with other like minded Christians. Surround yourself with people although they will tell you what they think, that will always bring you back to the center which is Christ. Those are the most important relationships that one can have. I am so grateful to have such people around me to help me in times like this.
Acts 1:14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
I pray that whatever is ahead for you, you learn how to pray and let God lead you. I also pray that the Lord will provide you with Godly friends which will remind you to pray and let God at all times.
